V-Hawks Swept in TriMatch

STEVENS POINT, Wis. – The Viterbo Men's Volleyball team fell in a pair of matchups against UW-Stevens Point 3-0 (25-11, 25-15, 25-18) and Concordia Chicago 3-0 (25-17, 25-15, 25-18). The V-Hawks sink to 2-13, 0-3.

The Pointers claimed the first seven points, Noah Diedrich putting an end to the run with a kill by Noah Diedrich. Logan Amdur set up Diedrich for another kill before Alex Kratzenstein would take a kill at the net. The V-Hawks working their way back would find Amdur at the net followed by Justin Kratzenstein with the kill.

Max Dugan opened the second set for the V-Hawks with a kill from Amdur before Amdur would go for the kill claiming three in a row. Dugan and Amdur powering at the net with assists and kills would end set two.

A Kratzenstein would take back to back kills before setting up Amdur for another kill. The V-Hawks claiming a series of kills by Dugan and Jake Schradle would cross the 15 point line, before Styrk Myhre would take the final kill for VU.

Dugan led the V-Hawks with seven kills and 11 digs, Amdur claimed 14 assists.. Conner Nate Olson led the Pointers with six kills.

Ethan Davis and Myhre opened the second match of day with a pair of kills, Myhre making a solo block taking an early lead. Viterbo battling at the net would send Davis up for the next three kills, Connors to take the following two.

The V-Hawks moving to take the lead in set two would find A Kratzenstein with the V-Hawks first four kills, Amdur following with a kill. Dugan would find Davis for a kill before Amdur would do the same.

Roman Rzeszutko setting up Davis and Myhre to open the third, Davis claiming a series of kills shortly after. On a four point run Rzeszutko would get a solo block before setting up J. Kratzenstein for the kill, finished by Davis with two final kills.

Davis led the V-Hawks with 15 kills, Amdur took 17 assists, and Dugan with eight digs. Marcin Hoffman led Concordia with 13 kills.

The V-Hawks return to action Tuesday March 4 at home to take on Dordt University.
