McCabe Named Defender of the Week
Chicago, Ill. – The Chicagoland Collegiate Athletic Conference (CCAC) has officially announced the third addition of its Women's Volleyball Players of the Week, and Viterbo's Kenidi McCabe has officially been named the Defender of the Week. She is joined by Olivet Nazarene's (Ill.) Halle Nicholas as the attacker of the week, and Analiese Fredin as the setter of the week. This is McCabe's fourth time winning the award, her first in the CCAC.
McCabe, a Decorah, Iowa native, led the V-Hawks with 79 digs and 79 receptions with one error (98.75%) as the V-Hawks went 2-1 in Viterbo's Home V-Hawk Fall Invitational. A setback came for the Valley City State Vikings, in which McCabe had 33 digs (8.25/set). For the weekend she also produced two service aces.
McCabe and the V-Hawks return to action Tuesday September 10 on the road at St Francis (Ill.).
