V-Hawks shutout by Tigers

BOURBANNAIS, Ill. -- The V-Hawks continued conference play with a midweek matchup against the Olivet Nazarene Tigers. Viterbo fell to the Tigers in a 3-0 loss. The loss takes the V-Hawks to a 5-4 overall record and moves them to 4-3 in CCAC play. The Tigers improve to 4-0-5 overall and 2-0-4 in conference play. 

The V-Hawks took only 12 shots to the Tigers' 20. Of the 12 shots, the V-Hawks were able to land five of them on goal. Both teams took four corner kicks, but the V-Hawks struggled to score off the corner. Defensively, both Viterbo and Olivet had five saves at the goal. 

The Tigers scored first at 38 minutes, taking the 1-0 lead going into the half. The V-Hawks struggled to keep up, but kept the Tigers at 1-0 for most of the match. The other two goals for the Tigers came at 75' and 81' late in the game.

The V-Hawks will return home this weekend on October 11th. Kickoff is set for 3pm against St. Francis.
