Women's Soccer falls to Trinity International

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo Women's Soccer team (0-2) was back in action on Tuesday afternoon to host Trinity International University (1-1). The V-Hawks fell 2-1 in their first time hosting the Trojans at the Outdoor Athletic Complex.

Both teams traded possessions in the first half without much offensive success. After the first 45 minutes, the teams went to the locker rooms tied at zero. One minute into half number two, the Trojans were able to find the net to go up 1-0. However, Abigail Mumm (JR/Brookfield, Wis.) answered for Viterbo to tie the game at one in the 65th minute. In the 74th minute, the Trojans were able to respond, scoring the game-winning goal.

The V-Hawks took 13 shots on the day, landing four on goal compared to the Trojans 11 shots, five of which landed on goal.

The Viterbo Women's Soccer team will be back in action on Friday afternoon. The V-Hawks will travel to Minneapolis to face off against North Central University. The game is scheduled for 3:30 PM CST. Follow the action on our website or by following us on social media.
