V-Hawks down Knights, Carly Drew with new Career High
NEW ULM, Minn. -- The V-Hawks headed west on Monday night to compete in their final non-conference game of the 2025-26 season. The team faced off against the Knights of Martin Luther, defeating the Knights 71-60. With the win, the V-Hawks improve to a 5-9 schedule overall while the Knights drop to 7-6 with the loss.
Carly Drew led the offense in a major way. Drew's 23 points mark a new career-high for the sophomore and the most of any V-Hawk women's basketball player this season. The offense also kept itself fairly spread out with Lauryn Goettl, Pearla Teko-Folly, and Nora Tucker each contributing 12 points to the victory. Teko-Folly and Goettl each picked up double-doubles as well with rebounds. Goettl added 11 while Teko-Folly grabbed 10.
Pearla Teko-Folly also added three blocks to the V-Hawk effort. Lauryn Goettl, Abby Ward, and Carly Drew each applied pressure to pick up two steals each. Chloe Auth led the way in assists, contributing four to the V-Hawk column.

- The V-Hawks led 56-41 at the end of the third
- Nora Tucker scored first in the fourth quarter
- The Knights continued to fight, dragging the game within ten points
- Four straight points for Carly Drew would end the game
- The V-Hawks came out victorious 71-60
