V-Hawks place fourth; three athletes finish first on day two of NSAA Championships

VALLEY CITY, N.D. – The Viterbo Men's Outdoor Track and Field team completed their final events at the North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) Conference Championships today. Three more V-Hawks in addition to a relay team were named all-conference for their performances at the meet. The Viterbo Track and Field team finished in fourth place out of six teams with a total score of 95.

Jalen Anderson was named all-conference in three events. He took first in the 110-meter hurdles with a time of 15.12. Anderson took second in the 200-meter dash with a time of 22.68 before taking third in the 100-meter dash with a time of 10.96. Anderson also was a member of the 4x100m relay team comprised of Maurice Savage, Greg Jenkins, and Darnell Williams that took second place with a time of 42.84 seconds. Jenkins also earned all-conference in long jump, taking third with a jump of 7.23m (23' 8.64").

Justin Moore took first in both of his events, hitting the NAIA A standard in both the high and the long jump. His high jump of 2.08m (6'9.89") and his long jump of 7.61m (24' 11.61") were both personal, school, and NSAA conference meet records. With those jumps, Moore is currently sitting ranked No. 1 in the NAIA in long jump and No. 5 in the NAIA in high jump.
