Jenkins earns NSAA Men's Indoor Field Athlete of the Week honor
BISMARK, N.D. - The North Star Athletic Association (NSAA) announced its third edition of the Men's Indoor Track and Field Athletes of the Week on Tuesday. Gregory Jenkins was selected as the Field Athlete of the Week.
Jenkins hit the NAIA's 'B' Provisional qualifying mark in the NCAA Division III meet, Wisconsin-Stout Warren Bowlus Open, for Viterbo. He won the high jump title after clearing 2.03 meters (6 feet, 8 inches), which is also his career best mark. Jenkins also recorded a personal best mark in the long jump, leaping 6.86 meters (22 feet, 6.25 inches) to place second in the event.
The Viterbo Track and Field team travels to Ripon, Wis. on Saturday for the Red Hawk Invitational, hosted by NCAA Division III Ripon (Wis.).
