LA CROSSE, Wis. – The Viterbo Men's Soccer team (12-0-1) defeated the Morningside Mustangs 2-0 on Thursday, marking 12 wins in a row.
In the fifth minute, Conner Erdmann got the V-Hawks on the board with the first goal of the game from Alessandro Lopergolo. The Viterbo defense was resilient in the first half, only allowing two shots from the Mustangs, one of which landed on goal.
One minute and 24 seconds into the second half, Dakota Hatzenbeller score the V-Hawks second goal of the game from Abdul Samet Ankaoglu. The Mustangs again only landed one shot on goal in the second half which was saved by Ernesto Ascenzo.
The V-Hawks will be back in action at home on Tuesday for their Senior Day against Maranatha Baptist. Game time is scheduled for 3:00 PM CDT. Follow the action on our website or by following us on social media.
