V-Hawks Compete at Duhawk Invitational, Two Finishers in Top-15

DUBUQUE, Iowa -- The V-Hawks returned to the links on Sunday to compete at the Duhawk Fall Invitational, hosted by Loras. The two-round competition finalized with the V-Hawks taking an eighth place finish, beating out Loras, and coming just three strokes shy of Wartburg College. The top performers of the weekend for the V-Hawks were Aaron Mork and Eli Lindsey. They both tied for 13th, shooting 154 over the course of two days. 

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • On day one, Aaron Mork put up the best score for the V-Hawks, with a round of 74, just two over par. In his round, he claimed a birdie and the only eagle of the weekend for the V-Hawks on a 503 yard par 5. 
  • Ethan Thomas came in right behind Mork on the first day with a round of 80. 
  • Eli Lindsey, Trevor Hinz, and Ben Biskupski all shot low-to-mid 80s during their rounds, and they each added a birdie. The team finished with a 320 stroke performance on day one to sit in 10th place. 
  • On day two, Eli Lindsey had the best round for the V-Hawks, shooting the course par of 72. He added four birdies during his round. 
  • Trevor Hinz was close behind with a 75 and three birdies. Through the front 9, Hinz was two under. 
  • Ethan Thomas and Ben Biskupski both shot 78s, adding four birdies between the two of them. 
  • Aaron Mork rounded off the day for the V-Hawks with an 80 stroke performance and a birdie. 
  • The V-Hawks improved to a 303 stroke performance on day two and moved up from 10th place to 8th place to finish their competition.

UP NEXT

The V-Hawks will return to the course on Monday, September 22 and Tuesday, September 23. They will travel to Silvis, Ill. where they will compete in the NAIA Preview competition.
