Salley Named CSC Academic All-America® Men's At-Large Second Team
LA CROSSE, Wis. – Viterbo University competitive dancer Trey'lon Salley has been named to the 2025-26 College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-America® Men's At-Large Second Team, as announced by CSC on July 8. The prestigious honor recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined excellence in athletics and academics and is among the highest academic distinctions awarded in collegiate athletics.
A junior from Fort Lauderdale, Florida, Salley is majoring in Music Theatre while maintaining a 3.75 cumulative GPA. He played a key role in one of the most successful seasons in Viterbo Competitive Dance history, helping the V-Hawks earn the program's first-ever trophy at the NAIA Competitive Dance National Championships with a third-place finish and set multiple program scoring records throughout the season.
Individually, Salley was named the 2026 American Midwest Conference Dancer of the Year, earned First Team All-Conference honors, and was selected to the NAIA Competitive Dance First Team All-America Team.
Earlier this summer, Salley was selected to the CSC Academic All-District® Team, advancing him to the national ballot for Academic All-America consideration. His selection to the CSC Academic All-America® Second Team places him among the nation's elite student-athletes, recognizing those who have demonstrated exceptional achievement both academically and athletically.
The CSC Academic All-America® program honors student-athletes who have achieved elite success both in competition and in the classroom. To be eligible, nominees must first earn CSC Academic All-District® recognition before advancing to a nationwide vote conducted by College Sports Communicators members.
Salley's latest honor adds to a remarkable year for Viterbo Athletics and further reflects the University's commitment to developing student-athletes who excel in competition, in the classroom, and as leaders in their communities.
