Nine V-Hawks Earn All-Conference, Three with Major Awards

COLUMBIA, Missouri -- The American Midwest Conference announced their selections for All-Conference at the AMC Championships on Saturday, March 7th. The conference's selections represent the best dancers in the conference, naming eleven athletes to the first team and eleven to the second team. The V-Hawks are honored to announce that all eight of the university's dancers and head coach Anna Luz were named to All-Conference rosters. 

In addition to the All-Conference teams, three V-Hawks earned major awards. Head Coach Anna Luz was named the conference's Coach of the Year for the second year in a row. Erica Laskey earned the conference's Freshman of the Year honor, which is the second year in a row that the V-Hawks have earned the conference's Freshman of the Year. Trey'lon Salley took home the prestigious Performer of the Year award, and he becomes the first V-Hawk to earn this honor. 

Trey'lon Salley, Jr., Performer of the Year, First Team All-AMC - For the first time in his career, Trey'lon was recognized as an All-Conference recipient. Not only that, but Salley was named as the conference's Performer of the Year. He earns this award after assisting the V-Hawks in maintaining a season-average 87.93 score. Salley was also named the conference's Dancer of the Week earlier in the season. 

Erica Laskey, Fr., Freshman of the Year, First Team All-AMC - The freshman out of Bolingbrook, Illinois earns All-Conference honors in the first year of her career. Laskey is the only freshman on the V-Hawk competitive dance squad, and she made her presence known in her first season with the team. 

Hailey Hotvedt, Sr., First Team All-AMC - The senior out of Burlington, Wisconsin earns All-Conference honors for the second time in her career. Last season, Hailey Hotvedt was named to the conference's second team. After a breakthrough season, Hotvedt was able to vault herself to a spot on the first team. 

Breckyn Remis, So., First Team All-AMC - Remis earns All-Conference honors for the second time in her career as a sophomore. The native of Onalaska was named to the conference's second team during the 2025 season, and this year she has been able to improve her skills to earn a spot on the first team in just her second year. 

Carly Skroback, So., First Team All-AMC - Skroback is named to the All-Conference roster for the second time in her career. Last season, Skroback was named as the conference's Freshman of the Year and received a spot on the second team. This year, she was able to amplify her skillset, earning a spot on the first team in her second season with the team. 

Julia Steinfeldt, Jr., First Team All-AMC - The native of Ridgeway, Minnesota was named to the All-Conference roster for a second year in a row. Last season, Steinfeldt was named to the conference's second team. This year, she was able to improve upon her sophomore campaign, earning a spot on the first team. 

Erin Walters, Sr., First Team All-AMC - Walters earns postseason honors for the second time in her career. Last season, she was named to the conferences second team. This year, the senior was able to go out with a bang, improving to a spot on the first team after assisting her team in an AMC second place finish. 

Megan Sobotta, Sr., Second Team All-AMC - For the first time in the senior's career, Megan Sobotta earned All-Conference honors. Sobotta was named to the second team after having a breakthrough season. Sobotta was also named as Viterbo's Champion of Character recipient, embodying the core values of the NAIA. 

Anna Luz, Eighth-Year Head Coach, Coach of the Year - For the second year in a row, Anna Luz was named as the conference's Coach of the Year. Luz earns this honor after leading her team to an average score of 87.93 on the season. Additionally, Luz has led her team to a third place or better finish at every meet this season, finishing in first place at two competitions and second place at five competitions. Luz continues to lead her team to new heights, coaching all eight of her competitive dancers to the All-Conference standard. In eight seasons, Luz has coached her dancers to the highest national recognition, All-American, on 29 occasions.
