Trey'lon Salley Named AMC Dancer of the Week
ST. LOUIS, Missouri – The American Midwest Conference announced their weekly player of the week honors on Monday. The conference picks one athlete per week as the best in the conference, and this week the AMC has named Trey'lon Salley as the conference's Dancer of the Week.
Trey'lon earns this honor after helping the V-Hawks to a second and third place finish this past weekend at the Midland Invitational. Their finishes came just behind the defending National Champions of Midland.
The junior out of Fort Lauderdale, Florida, has been a key piece of the competition squad this season. His energy is radiant, and he continues to impress as the team advances deeper into the season. With Trey'lon's honor, he becomes the first male to ever win Dancer of the Week in the American Midwest Conference.
To see Trey'lon and the V-Hawks in action, they will be on the road this weekend on Sunday, March 1st as they compete in the Fighting Bee Classic. The competition is hosted in Davenport, Iowa by conference foe St. Ambrose. The AMC Championships are next weekend, March 7th in Columbia, Missouri.
