39 V-Hawk Spring Athletes Earn NAIA Scholar Athlete Honors
KANSAS CITY, Missouri – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics announced on Wednesday the individuals that received NAIA Scholar Athlete honors. The honor is defined as a student-athlete that has been enrolled at his or her school for a minimum of one year, that is a member of a varsity team, completed at least 30 semester hours, and boasts no less than a 3.50 cumulative GPA. This award is reserved for outstanding student-athletes in the classroom.
Spring athletes at Viterbo University that compete in the NAIA include baseball and softball, men's and women's golf, men's and women's track and field, and men's volleyball. Between those seven teams, thirty-nine athletes were selected as NAIA Scholar Athlete honorees.
Women's track and field had the most honorees this year with fourteen being named NAIA Scholar Athletes. Softball had seven honorees, while men's golf added six honorees.
