All Eight V-Hawks Named All-American

LA CROSSE, Wis. – The NAIA announced its 2026 Competitive Dance All-American teams today following the tenth NAIA National Championships, with the V-Hawks securing eight spots on the various teams. Each member of the V-Hawks' competitive roster earned All-American recognition, marking one of the program's most decorated seasons since its inception in the 2018-19 season.

All-American honors are among the highest individual honors awarded at the collegiate level. Only 42 dancers nationwide receive this designation each year, highlighting the V-Hawks' strong national reputation with eight honorees across all three teams.

This season, the V-Hawks placed two dancers on the First Team, three on the Second Team, and three on the Third Team.

Trey'lon Salley, Jr., First Team – In his first season with the V-Hawks, Trey'lon Salley earned First Team All-American honors, adding to an already outstanding season in which he was also named the conference's Performer of the Year. His contributions to the team were significant to the V-Hawks' record-breaking performance at the NAIA National Championships.

Carly Skroback, So., First Team – Sophomore Carly Skroback continued her upward trajectory, leaping to First Team All-American honors after earning First Team All-Conference earlier in the season. A Second Team All-American last year, Skroback continues developing as she positions herself as a veteran on the team.

Erica Laskey, Fr., Second Team – The lone freshman on the competitive roster, Erica Laskey, capped off an impressive first season being named a Second Team All-American honoree. She was previously named First Team All-Conference and earned the conference's Freshman of the Year award earlier this season.

Hailey Hotvedt, Sr., Second Team – Senior Hailey Hotvedt earns Second Team All-American recognition for the second consecutive year. A First Team All-Conference selection earlier in the season, Hotvedt's leadership played a key role in the program's 93.04 record-breaking finish at the NAIA National Championships.

Erin Walters, Sr., Second Team – With this year's honor, senior Erin Walters becomes a four-year All-American, achieving the NAIA's highest individual status in each season of her eligibility. This marks her third time being named a Second Team honoree. Walters was also named First Team All-Conference earlier in the year and contributed significantly to the team's third-place finish at the NAIA National Championships.

Breckyn Remis, So., Third Team – In her second year with the program, sophomore Breckyn Remis earned her second consecutive All-American honor. Last season, the sophomore was named to the Second Team. Earlier this season, she added First Team All-Conference to her status as well. Breckyn's honors set her up well as she turns over to an upperclassmen and leader of the team next season.

Julia Steinfeldt, Jr., Third Team – Junior Julia Steinfeldt secured her third career All-American honors, being named to the Third Team for the second time in her career. She also received First Team All-Conference honors this year, continuing her consistent presence among the nation's top performers.

Megan Sobotta, Sr., Third Team – Senior Megan Sobotta earned her second career All-American honor, previously being named to the Third Team as a sophomore. A Second Team All-Conference honoree this season, Sobotta's leadership was a steadying force throughout the V-Hawks' competitive season.

The V-Hawk Competitive Dance Team earned a third-place finish at the NAIA National Championships this season, rounding out the NAIA year. Though their season with the NAIA has come to a close, the V-Hawks will compete at the NDA (National Dance Alliance) Collegiate Nationals on April 8-11 in Daytona Beach, Florida next week.
