Bruce Erickson was the door to the goal for Viterbo's men's soccer between 1986 and 1989, and that door almost always was closed.

Erickson recorded a goals-against-average of .87 per contest, which made him the college's leading goalkeeper upon his graduation. He played 50 games in goal for the V-Hawks, winning 38 and losing 10, with two ties. Erickson was chosen for two all-conference teams and was named a NLCAA All-American in 1986. His team won the NAIA District 14 championship in 1988.

He served as assistant men's soccer coach in 1990-1991, and was head coach from 1993 through 1998. he was named the conference's Coach of the Year in 1996, 1997 and 1998, and shared that honor in 1993, when his team won the NAIA district championship.

Erickson also was Director of Athletics at Viterbo from 1995 to 1999.
