Troy Wagner had one of the most dominating single season performances in a V-Hawk basketball uniform that fans have ever witnessed.

"Troy was an outstanding competitor and a free spirit," said Coach Mike Murphy. "He was one of those rare individuals who reached his potential both on and off the court."

While Troy contributed to an MCC conference championship his freshman year, and a 21-12 record his sophomore year, it was his junior and senior season that he really blossomed as a basketball player.

As a junior, Troy helped his team finish 23-7 and climb as high as #22 on the national polls. For his efforts, Troy was named second team all-conference.

Wagner's fourth and final year in a V-Hawk uniform was one to remember. He led his team to a 27-7 record, MCC Player of the Year, First Team All-American, and was named to the NAIA All-Tournament team. On the season, Troy averaged 23.1 points, 7.8 rebounds, and had an astounding 70.3% field goal percentage.

Troy currently holds school records for most points in a game (41), most points in a season (796), highest scoring average-season (24.3), most rebounds-game (17), most field goals made-game (17), most field goals made-season (313), best field goal percentage-season (.703), and best field goal percentage-career (.644). He is also a member of the V-Hawk 1,000 point club (1,349).
