Brian Soller
Inducted in 2002
Men's Baseball, Men's Basketball

Brian Soller epitomized the phrase "model student-athlete." His leadership and quest to succeed was very evident both on the field and in the classroom.

"While being an exceptional athlete at the small college level, Brian displayed the special combination of fierce competitiveness while upholding the greatest integrity of the game," commented teammate Wayne Wagner. "Brian's examples of desire, love for the game, and work ethic made him a natural leader among his teammates and peers."

Brian was a member of the 1992 NAIA District 14 All-District Team and a member of the Viterbo 100 Hit Club with 122 hits. He was a captain of the baseball team in the 1994 season. When he graduated, he was third in career at-bats (400), fourth in career hits (122), and remains in the first spot for hit by pitch-career (30).

Brian earned many honors for his performance in the classroom too. He earned Academic All-Conference three times in baseball ('92, '93, '94) and once in basketball (1992). He also was an NAIA All-American Scholar-Athlete and Student-Athlete of the Year in 1994.

On the lighter side, one of Brian's most notable feats came in his final home game as a V-Hawk baseball player against Winona State in 1994, when Brian played all nine positions during a regular nine-inning game.

Brian Soller-a leader on and off the field.
