




Cedar Rapids, Iowa – Last Saturday, the Viterbo University women's basketball team flirted with an upset bid of a nationally ranked opponent but was unable to pull it off. Today was a different story as they defeated #8 Mount Mercy University 54-51 in Midwest Collegiate Conference action.

La Crosse, Wis. – Prior to tonight, the Viterbo University women's basketball team had not beaten St. Ambrose University over the last 12 meetings which dated back to January 29, 2005. That streak came to an end tonight as the V-Hawks defeated the Bees 75-60 in Midwest Collegiate Conference action.

La Crosse, Wis. – 15th ranked Grand View University hit 12 of their 14 free throws in the second overtime of a thriller to escape the upset bid by Viterbo University 78-74 in double overtime.

La Crosse, Wis. – The Viterbo University women's basketball team used a career game by junior Laquita Becker (Caledonia, Minn.) as she recorded her first double-double in her V-Hawk career to help lead them to a 63-61 win over Midwest Collegiate Conference foe AIB College of Business (7-10 0-5). Becker scored a career high 21 points and pulled down a career high 10 rebounds to help the V-Hawks remain just one game back in the MCC standings at 4-1 (6-11 overall).
