
La Crosse, Wis. - The Midwest Collegiate Conference announced today that six Viterbo men's and women's soccer players earned All-Conference honors. Anastasia Jensen (Jr. - Anoka, Minn.) and Lauren Turinetti (Fr. - Wausau, Wis.) from the women's soccer team as well as Mark Burton (Fr. - Oxford, England), James Lockley (So. - Manchester, England), Tony Madigan (Jr. - Dane, Wis.), and Jamie Robertson (Jr. - Langho, England) from men's soccer all received MCC honors.

La Crosse, Wis. - A late game substitute proved to be the hero for the #2 Viterbo University Men's Soccer team, as Jake Wenzel (Fr. - Stoughton, Wis.) scored the game winning goal with 18 seconds left in regulation to lead the V-Hawks to a 3-2 win over #3 Grand View University. The win puts the V-Hawks in the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championship game for the first time in eight years as they will face #1 Ashford University on Thursday afternoon.

La Crosse, Wis. - Junior Jamie Robertson (Langho, England) scored on a penalty kick in the 103rd minute to lead #2 Viterbo University to a 1-0 win over #7 William Penn University in the Midwest Collegiate Conference Quarterfinals. Viterbo advances to the MCC semifinals for the second straight season next Sunday at 2:00 pm.

La Crosse, Wis. - It had been eight years since the Viterbo men's soccer team had defeated Grand View University. On Saturday, the V-Hawks ended that streak as they defeated the Vikings 2-0 in the final Midwest Collegiate Conference regular season game of 2009.

La Crosse, Wis. - Charlie Grill (So. - Gleason, Wis.) put Viterbo University on the board in the third minute of the contest and the V-Hawks would hold on for a 4-2 win over Midwest Collegiate Conference foe Iowa Wesleyan College.
