La Crosse, Wis. – Competing less than a week after throwing a season best at the Midwest Collegiate Conference Championships, freshman Emily Messerschmidt (Fall Creek, Wis.) threw a new personal best in the women's discus event at Friday's Eagle Open. Messerschmidt's toss of 29.39 meters was also a new team record.

La Crosse, Wis. – Viterbo University Track and Field athlete Josh Niebuhr (So. - West Salem, Wis.) has been honored by being named to the Midwest Collegiate Conference All-Conference team for indoor track and field. Niebuhr is the first track and field athlete to earn this honor in the brief two year history of the program

Sterling, Ill. – Coming off of running a personal record performance in the 60 Meter Dash last weekend, Josh Niebuhr (So. - West Salem, Wis.) expected to run well at this Saturday's Midwest Collegiate Conference Indoor Track & Field Championship on February 9th.

 Arden Hills, Minn. – This past Saturday, the Viterbo University track and field teams made the trip to Arden Hills for the Bethel Invitational, the third meet of the indoor season. The meet was made up of teams from Bethel, Macalester, Augsburg, St. John's, Concordia-St. Paul and Hamline.
