




La Crosse, Wis. – Of the 198 schools that sponsor NAIA women's soccer, the Viterbo University V-Hawks finished with the most improved team according to the final NAIA statistics. Viterbo University posted a 15-3-1 record this season after going 2-15-1 in 2011.

La Crosse, Wis. - Viterbo University women's soccer player Steph Wisen (Jr. – Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) has already been named an NAIA Honorable Mention All-American, the Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Year, and a CoSIDA Third Team Academic All-American. Today, Wisen was once again recognized as she was named to the NSCAA Midwest All-Region Team.

La Crosse, Wis. – Freshman Molly Machometa (McHenry, Ill.) and junior Steph Wisen (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) teamed up this season for the Viterbo University women's soccer team to be one of the top 1-2 punches in the country. So it comes as no surprise that on Monday the two of them picked up national honors. Machometa and Wisen were named NAIA Honorable Mention All-America selections while Wisen was also named a 2012 Capital One Academic All-America® College Division Third Team recipient.

Bourbonnais, Ill. – The 2012 season has been a dream season for the Viterbo University women's soccer team but that dream came to an end on Saturday as they suffered a 2-1 heart breaking loss to #12 Olivet Nazarene University in the opening round of the NAIA National Tournament. It was the V-Hawks first ever trip to the NAIA national tournament.
