Started off our day by playing the 6th ranked team for NAIA in the country. We fought our hardest throughout the entire match, but Biola University was just a step quicker than we were. After the 3-0 loss, we still felt that we came out a better team than when we stepped out onto the court. Next we took on The Master's College, and took the first game, playing well with very high energy! We dropped the next two games in a very tight battle, things just weren't going our way. After falling behind in game 4, we battled our way back to claim game 4 and force a fifth and deciding game. Coming into game five we brought the heat, being the first to reach 8. Giving them a little run at the end, we still managed to come together as a team and get the win. Leaving the tournament with a 4-2 record and starting our 2010 season with a 4-3 record, we have pretty high hopes for this team this coming season!
After leaving the tournament we took a much needed nap on our way to Anaheim, a midst all of the busy traffic and almost losing Coach Gilbert, we made it safely to our hotel. We took time to get all dolled up and wear something besides spandex and sports bras, for our first team dinner at ESPN Zone in Downtown Disney. There we enjoyed a wonderful dinner on the patio with great service and spicy music. We took a little time to explore Downtown Disney and wandered back to the hotel to rest our eyes and gain energy for the day to come filled with the wonderful world of disney!!!!!! :-)
Hope all is well in Wisconsin, or wherever you are reading this! And we'll see you soon!
