
Bobbi (Brown) Vandenberg is beginning her 19th season as head coach of the women's basketball team at Viterbo University. The V-Hawks have a mark of 271 wins and 300 losses under Vandenberg's direction, and have posted 20 or more wins in four of those seasons. Of the past 12 seasons, Viterbo has finished no lower than third place in the Midwest Classic (Collegiate) Conference six times.
The 2004-05 V-Hawks earned the program's second MCC Championship and second trip to the NAIA Division II National Tournament by winning the 2005 MCC Tournament. The 2000-2001 V-Hawks finished with a school record 30 wins and the program's first MCC Championship as they finished undefeated in conference play. They earned their first bid to the NAIA Division II National Tournament and were the highest ranked athletic team in the history of Viterbo, with a final NAIA Division II ranking of #4 in the nation. Coach "V" was named MCC "Coach of the Year" for the 2000-2001 and 2004-05 seasons and Co-Coach of the Year for the 2001-2002 season after a second place finish in the MCC and 20-13 overall record.
