
Bobbi (Brown) Vandenberg is beginning her seventeenth season as head coach of the women's basketball team at Viterbo University. The V-Hawks have a mark of 253 wins and256 losses under Vandenberg's direction, and have posted 20 or more wins in four of those seasons. Of the past ten seasons, Viterbo has finished no lower than third place in the Midwest Classic (Collegiate) Conference six times. The 2004-05 V-Hawks earned the program's second MCC Championship and second trip to the NAIA Division II National Tournament by winning the 2005 MCC Tournament. The 2000-2001 V-Hawks finished with a school record 30 wins and the program's first MCC Championship as they finished undefeated in conference play. They earned their first bid to the NAIA Division II National Tournament and were the highest ranked athletic team in the history of Viterbo, with a final NAIA Division II ranking of #4 in the nation. Coach "V" was named MCC "Coach of the Year" for the 2000-2001 and 2004-05 seasons and Co-Coach of the Year for the 2001-2002 season after a second place finish in the MCC and 20-13 overall record.
Vandenberg, a native of Denver, Colorado, was head basketball coach at Boulder High School from 1982-1987 and from 1988-1992. She compiled a 183-27 record there, and won the Colorado girls' state basketball championship five times. She was named Coach of the Year five times by the Denver Post. She also taught chemistry and biology at BHS. Vandenberg is a 1982 graduate of the University of Colorado, earning a bachelor's degree with a double major in biology and biochemistry, along with a teaching certificate in natural sciences. She played basketball for the Buffs from 1976-1979.Vandenberg and her husband, Joe, live in La Crosse with their 15-year-old son, Patrick, and their 13-year-old daughter, Mollie.

Amy Olson enters her fifth season as an assistant coach for the Viterbo Program and her third season as Associate Head Coach. Before coming to Viterbo, Olson spent six seasons at Tomah High School, three of those years as the head coach. Olson is also in her seventh season as the head volleyball coach at La Crosse Central High School. Olson's playing career started at Tomah High School, where she was a first team all -conference selection in volleyball, basketball, and softball. Olson then continued her basketball career at UW-Green Bay, where she was a three year starter for the Phoenix. During her career, the Phoenix made their first appearance in school history in the NCAA tournament during the 1993-94 season.
Olson graduated from UW-Green Bay in 1998 with a studio art degree and an emphasis in drawing and photography and a minor in graphic communication. She also has her teaching license in art education. Olson and her husband, Mike, live in Sparta where she owns Stroh's Matting and Framing.
John Heinberg enters his third season as an assistant coach for the V-Hawk women's basketball team. Heinberg has been coaching girls' basketball for the past twenty years and served as the varsity girls' basketball coach at Cashton High School for twelve of those seasons. During that time, the Cashton girls program compiled a 149-113 record. His teams won two conference titles, appeared in four regional championships, one sectional championship, and were the Division 4 State Runner-up in 1998.
Individually, Heinberg was named the Coulee Region Coach of the Year in 1998 by the La Crosse Tribune and was selected to be the WBCA Division 4 South all-star team head coach in 2005. Besides his head coaching experience, Heinberg brings camp coaching experience. He has worked in many camps at the University of Wisconsin, Illinois State, Florida State and the University of Tennessee.
Heinberg is a 1987 graduate of Shullsburg High School in Shullsburg, WI, and received high degree in secondary education from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville in Platteville WI. He is currently employed by Cashton Public School as the Agriculture Instructor and advisor for the FFA organization at the school for the past twelve years.
