La Crosse, Wis. – The Viterbo University women's soccer team had three players earn Midwest Collegiate Conference All-Conference honors as announced by the conference office on Wednesday. Sophomore Steph Wisen (Wisconsin Rapids, Wis.) was named to the MCC All-Conference First Team while freshman Bre Burry (Huntley, Ill.) and Sarah Ingles (Baraboo, Wis.) earned MCC Honorable Mention All-Conference Honors.
This is the second straight season that Wisen has been a first team selection. Wisen once again led the V-Hawks in scoring this season finishing with 26 points including 11 goals and 4 assists. Her11 goals and 26 points ranked fifth in the MCC. Wisen now sits fifth on the V-Hawks all-time goals list and she has 31 goals in her first two seasons as a V-Hawk.
In Burry's first season as a V-Hawk, she made her impact felt from the middle of the field as a holding midfielder. She finished her freshman season with two goals, four assists and eight points. Her eight points was third most by any V-Hawk this season behind Wisen and Lauren Neet (Plover, Wis.) All four of her assists came during conference play which was the second most in MCC play.
Ingles made her presence felt for the V-Hawks on the defensive end as she played in the center of the V-Hawk defense. She solidified herself as one of the top defenders in the league this season by helping shut down some of the top scorers in the MCC and NAIA. Ingles was also called upon to move forward on numerous occasions and was successful with a goal and an assist.
