
South Bend, Ind. - Freshman Greg Pizl (Antigo, Wis.) and Rachel Schalow (Marshfield, Wis.) led the Viterbo University bowling teams to a solid showing at the BluGold Classic.
Wichita State dominated both the men's and women's events at the annual BlueGold Classic in South Bend, Indiana. The Shockers finished with a pin count of 9739 on the men's side, more than 1400 pins in front of Viterbo, which finished a respectable 26 place in the 66 team event. The V-Hawk women were 32nd in the 44 team competition.Viterbo finished with a pin count of 7271 compared to Wichita State, which won with an 8727 total.
The BluGold Classic was the final competition of the regular season for the V-Hawks. Viterbo will now wait to see if they receive a bid to the United States Bowling Congress Sectionals.
