
Cedar Rapids, Iowa - The Viterbo University Women's Golf team finished sixth this weekend in the Mount Mercy College Spring Invitational. Viterbo's Chelsey McCoy (Fr. - Brookfield, Wis.) finished tied for second in the tournament after posting a 168 score.
St. Olaf College won the event with a total of 687 strokes followed by Carleton College with 707 and Ashford University with 727 strokes. Viterbo finished sixth after recording 756 strokes Ashford's Jordan Davis was the individual winner as she finished with 166 strokes.
Finishing tied for 15th overall was Viterbo's Lauren Lindsley (Fr. - Green Bay, Wis.) with 180 strokes. Shooting a 204 and tying for 36th place was Melanie Truax (Fr. - Trempealeau, Wis.) and Clare McCarthy (So. - Caledonia, Minn.). Rhianna Nichols (So. - Tomah, Wis.) rounded out the V-Hawks squad with her 210 strokes which was good enough for a 43rd place tie.
