La Crosse, Wis. - The Viterbo University Men's and Women's Bowling season came to an end this past weekend. In their first season of competition both the Men's and Women's teams had a strong enough year to be invited to the Sectionals for the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships. Neither, however, were able to make it out of their Peoria, IL Sectional to Nationals. Singles, on Friday, consisted of 6 individual games while the team portion included 64 Baker Games over Saturday and Sunday.
During the Singles portion of the weekend it was Andy Mills (Fr. - Onalaska, Wis.) who turned in the best performance. Mills finished in 7th place out of 160 bowlers in the Men's Division, missing the cut to move on to Nationals by only 7 pins. Mills continued his solid bowling through both days of the Baker competition leading the Men to finish 12th out of the 16 team field.
Stats for the Men's Team were as follows:

The Women jumped out to an impressive start, firing a 798 first block to start the day off in 2nd Place. They continued their strong bowling the whole day, finishing the first day in 4th Place out of 15 teams. However, the pins didn't want to fall over as easily on Sunday as they slipped down to an 8th Place finish out of the 15 team field.
