La Crosse, Wis. - Scott Buschman (Sr. - Naperville, Ill.) was named the Midwest Collegiate Conference Player of the Week as he has helped lead Viterbo to second place in the MCC and just a half game back of conference leader Grand View University.

Buschman's latest performance has helped the V-Hawks earn two straight victories as the team defeated Mount Mercy College 89-84 and Saint Ambrose University 65-49. During the two game stretch he averaged 27.5 ppg and 11.0 rpg. Along with the two victories, Buschman has recorded his NAIA Division II best 19th double-double along with recording a double-double in 12 consecutive games.

Buschman leads the V-Hawks with 20.9 ppg and 11.5 rpg so far on the season. Buschman also added to his personal achievements earlier in the year as he became the third all-time leading scorer in Viterbo University history with 1,896 points. He is also the only player in the school's history with over 1,000 rebounds as he ranks first with 1,115 in his career.

This marks the second time Buschman has won the award this season and the third time for a member of the V-Hawks as teammate Eric Ambrose (Sr. Twin Lakes, Wis.) earned the accomplishment earlier in the season.

Buschman and the V-Hawks will look to extend their current two game winning streak as they are set to take on Waldorf College this Wednesday with tip-off scheduled for 7:30 pm.
