La Crosse, Wis. Viterbo's Drew Schroeder (SR/Holmen, Wis.) shot a two day total of 144 to help lead the men's golf team to a second place finish at the Ronnie Eastman Invitational.

Kirkwood Community College shot an impressive 293 on day two to help them to a first place finish as they shot a two day total of 594. As a team, the V-Hawks were 24 strokes back with a tournament total of 618 while Jamestown University finished third with a 620. Wartburg College came in fourth with a 649 while Luther College rounded out the top five with a 654. Winona State's Michael Schmitz earned medalist honors as he shot a five under 137 (70, 67) for the tournament.

After shooting a three under 69 on day 1, Schroeder shot a 75 to finish second overall. Next for the V-Hawks was Joel Preeshl (SR/Onalaska, Wis.) who shot a 156 (79, 77) while Eric Olson (JR/Onalaska, Wis.) was third for the V-Hawks with a 158 (80, 78). Viterbo's team score was rounded out by a 161 (82, 79) by Nick Anderson (SO/Ettrick, Wis.). Also playing for the V-Hawks was Austin Roth (SO/Viroqua, Wis.) who cut six strokes of his first round (84) to shoot a 78 on day two for a 162.

The V-Hawks are off until the NAIA Preview tournament on October 16th and 17th when they travel to Silvis, Ill. to play at TPC Deere Run Golf Course.
