La Crosse, Wis. - The Viterbo University women's soccer team will kick off the annual futsal league this Sunday, December 6, 2009. For a complete schedule of games or further information please click here.Over 44 boys and girls teams will participate in the annual Viterbo Futsal league. Teams will compete one of three divisions: U-14, High School, or High School Competitive. Futsal is the only FIFA sanctioned indoor soocer game and is played on a basketball court. The game is played with five players on a side and uses a slightly smaller ball. The Viterbo League will run on Sundays in December, January, February and will feature a tournament at the end of the season.
