La Crosse, Wis. - The Midwest Collegiate Conference announced today that six Viterbo men's and women's soccer players earned All-Conference honors. Anastasia Jensen (Jr. - Anoka, Minn.) and Lauren Turinetti (Fr. - Wausau, Wis.) from the women's soccer team as well as Mark Burton (Fr. - Oxford, England), James Lockley (So. - Manchester, England), Tony Madigan (Jr. - Dane, Wis.), and Jamie Robertson (Jr. - Langho, England) from men's soccer all received MCC honors.

Burton, Lockley, and Robertson each were honored as MCC First Team All-Conference performers while Jensen, Madigan, and Turinetti were each named to the MCC Honorable Mention All-Conference teams.

Jensen and Turinetti helped lead a V-Hawk women's soccer team to a fourth place finish in the MCC with a 4-3-1 conference record and a 6-10-1 overall record. A midfielder, Jensen played a role in both the V-Hawk offense and defense. She finished the season with three goals and two assists. A forward, Turinetti created havoc to opposing defenses with her speed and quickness. She finished second on the team in scoring with seven goals and two assists including two game winning goals against Waldorf College and Ashford University.

Burton, Lockley, Robertson, and Madigan have all played an integral part of the V-Hawks dream season. The four have helped lead the V-Hawks to a second place finish in the MCC (6-1-1) and a chance for a MCC tournament championship. Robertson (13 goals, 8 assists), Madigan (9 goals, 3 assists), and Lockley (8 goals, 2 assists) have combined to become one of the top scoring threats in the MCC. Burton has helped solidify a defense that has recorded eight shutouts and limited opponents to just 1.3 goals per game.

The V-Hawks dream season continues on Thursday as they travel to Rock Island, Ill. to play #1 Ashford University in the MCC Tournament Championship Game. The Saints are currently 18-0-2 on the season and are ranked 24th in the NAIA. In the only match-up between these two teams, the Saints defeated the V-Hawks 2-1 in overtime. With a trip to the NAIA National Championships on the line, the V-Hawks are hopeful that their resurgence can continue.
