
The Viterbo Men's and Women's team finished 12th in the Midwest Collegiate which was held at Bowlero Lanes in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin on October 4-5.Highlights of the weekend for the men were Greg Pizl's (Fr. - Antigo, WI)fourth place individual finish and Andy Mills (Fr. - Onalaska, WI) rolling the first 300 game in Viterbo history.
"I'm pleased, but certainly not surprised by how well the guys performed," said Viterbo Head Coach Jim Socha."We should be able to compete with just about anybody in the country."
The V-Hawk women were steady the entire opening weekend. Jennifer Rettmueller (Fr, Kenosha, WI)had the highest average (187) for Viterbo."Jennifer, Kendra Bundy (Fr. - Tomah, Wis.) and Megan Jirsa had some exceptional games for us," said Socha. "What's really exciting to me is that both teams were solid and believe both teams are capable of bowling even better."
Next action for the Viterbo Bowling teams is October 24-25 at the Kegel Classic in Chicago.
