
La Crosse, Wis. - The Viterbo University women's golf team had a tough second day as they dropped four strokes and finished with a two day total of 684. The team total was good enough for a sixth place finish while Gustavus Adolphus won the invitational with a team score of 630.
The V-Hawks were once again led by the freshman tandem of Chelsey McCoy (Brook Field, Wis.) and Lauren Lindsley (Green Bay, Wis.). McCoy and Lindsley tied for 24th with a two day total of 169. Sophomore Chelsea Dunnum (Viroqua, Wis.) finished one stroke back at 170. Rounding out the scoring for the V-Hawks was Trish Peterson (Sr. - Lewiston, Minn.) and Melanie Truax (Fr. - Trempealeau, Wis.) with scores of 177 and 181, respectively.
The V-Hawks will be back in action next when they travel to Waverly, Iowa to play in the Wartburg College Invitational on September 12 and 13.
