
Cedar Rapids, Iowa. - The Viterbo Men's Golf Team finished 12th out of 20 teams at the Mt. Mercy Cropper Invitational over the weekend.The 36 hole event was played at Hunter's Ridge Golf Club in Marion, Iowa.
Freshman Shawn Keenan (Embden, Maine) was Viterbo's low man for the event, shooting rounds of 72-78 for a 150 total and a 27th place finish. Derrick Meier (Jr. - Chilton, Wis.) and Adam Dickinson (So. - Edgerton, Wis.) tied for 61st place with a two-day total of 156. Rounding out the scoring for the V-Hawks was Josh Kohnhorst (Sr. - Tomah, Wis.) and Billy Pearse (Fr. - Holmen, Wis.) with a 158 and a 160, respectively.
"We are entering a very important stretch, so hopefully we'll start playing better," said Viterbo Coach Jim Socha. "The guys aren't far away from putting it together. When that happens we will be a very good team."
Next action for Viterbo is September 18-19 at the Robert Morris Invitational in Wadsworth, Ill.
